The technology of the autoclaved aerated concrete production, used at the «Grodno building materials plant», allows to manufacture a wide range of multi-purpose products — from constructionally insulating (700-400 kg per cubic meter) to insulating (400-150 kg per cubic meter), combining in one material high building and performance characteristics, the main of which is low thermal conductivity.
The technology is based on using of compound lime, sand and cement binding base, thus obtaining a 15-20% lower water content as compared with the gypsum-based technology. The operational moisture content of the exterior wall, made of AAC without gypsum, is 4-5%, whereas with gypsum — 8-10%. Thus the exploitation thermal conductivity index of the AAC with bulk density of 500 kg per cubic meter, produced by JSC «Grodno building materials plant» amounts only to 0.158 W/(m·К), whereas the exploitation thermal conductivity index of the AAC, produced according to the gypsum-based technology on other enterprises, is as high as 0.190 W/(m·К).
High strength properties, dimensional accuracy and facet precision make it possible to use them for constructing interior and exterior walls of the superstructure of one-storey as well as multi-storey buildings.
